New Year's Eve is the last night in the last month of lunar calender, next to the Spring Festival. The first day of new year means that the old year has past and we will welcome the new year before the end of the year.
The New Year's Eve dinner is an important part of New Year Eve, with a wide variety of dishes that not only increase people's appetite, but also symbolize their longing for a better life. For example, a whole fish is called as having surplus every year. Whenever night falls, children always set off fireworks to drive away misfortunes such as diseases and disasters, which has always been one of their favorite activities of children during the Festival.
