Companies should provide sports and social facilities
for local communities. To what extent do you agree?

It is argued that exercise equipment and social facilities should be provided by enterprises to the local residents. Personally, I partly agree with this point of view.

On the on hand, investing in sports and entertainment infrastructures can improve citizens’ overall well-being. Companies construct social activities for seniors like relaxing board games, encouraging them to participate, which becomes a major life transition from being alone to fullfil their life experience, satisfy their daily needs, and improve mental health. Meanwhile, professional workers have limited time to exercise; however, if industries invest in putting sports facilities up such as a soccer field near their houses, this allows them to workout frequently, maintaining health status and freeing from finding excuses. In addition, because a company shows generosity by building various infrastructures for local people, it helps to boost its reputation among communities. In situations where many residents hear and witness their kindness of constructing facilities, local populace later becoming their customers in order to support them back. Therefore, it increases enterprises’ interest and helps to make profit.

On the other hand, since individuals have different interests, it can increase a company’s pressure when installing recreational areas. Instead of enjoying local infrastructures, people such as young adults prefer going to restaurants to have a meal and heading to a gym because these places provide them various options and excellence chances to meet like-minded individuals from outside of comfort-zone, which it is something that can not be reached in neighbour-areas. Therefore, if a institution spent large amount of money on installing brand-new facilities but not reach residents’ demand, it is not only wasting energy but also increase enterprise’s expedition and financial pressure.

In conclusion, although constructing facilities for local residents can bring potential economic pressure to manufacturing industries, enabling to improve people’s general health condition and making companies be well-known should be taken into account. Ideally, installing small number of facilities could benefit to both individuals and companies.
