It is a natural process for animal species to become extinct (e.g. Dinosaurs, dodos, etc.) There is no reason why people should try to prevent this from happening. Do you agree or disagree?

People today come to notice a phenomenon that animal extinction is common because it is a natural process, so that individuals have no responsibility to interfere this situation. Personally, I partly agree with this statement.

On the one hand, one factor contributing to animal extinction is through natural environment change, but the significant cause is by human activities. Behaviors such as cutting down trees, and over emitting chemical substances into ocean destroy the wildlife habitats that animals lose their homes and have no access to daily necessities. Other human activities including a massive amount of carbon dioxide releasing can lead to the rise in temperature, as known as global warming. For those animals who live under extreme cold weather conditions can die as the temperature increases. Consequently, less number of animals are being produced and because the dead rate is higher than the new-born rate, many animal species become extinct at the end.

On the other hand, human are supposed to recognize that avoiding animals to disappear from the society brings economic and scientific values. Firstly, if governments establish a zoo or wildlife-conservation tourist attractions in local areas, this allows to boost a country’s economy because he tickets paid by tourists become part of the authorities' incomes, and the value of animals is being shown in a meaningful way. In addition, some animals can be used in animal-based experiments for further researches. For example, before Covid-19 vaccines publishing worldwide, scientists ensure potential drug safety by testing on animals to access toxicity and side effects.Therefore, protecting animals is beneficial for the development of the world.

In conclusion, although natural process is a factor of animal extinction, human behaviors should be taken into account as well. The reasons why individuals should protect animals because they bring potential benefit to the economic and science fields to some extent.
