Dear Henry,

When it comes to hobbies, we usually think of doing sports, but I think a hobby is also about creativity. So my hobby is calligraphy.

I started to practise it when I was 7. My grandfather taught me how to do it. I like calligraphy for three reasons. First, it helps me calm down. Whenever I hold my writing brush, I just feel the noisy world fade away. Second, it lets me relax, because I think it is a dialogue between the ink, the paper and my inner world, which helps me relax after a busy day. Third, practising calligraphy enriches my inner world. When I practise it, I appreciate traditional Chinese art and can convey its beauty and spirit.

All in all, I love calligraphy, and I will keep practising to pursue excellence and improve myself. I will work harder and make more progress in the future.
