Recently, we took part in a school volleyball competition. In the finals, we faced a strong opponent and gradually fell behind. Suddenly the ball was spiked at me, but I was too nervous to move.
Our PE teacher called for a timeout. I felt so guilty and blamed myself, but to my surprise, my teammates didn’t scold me. Instead, they patted me on the back and told me not to be nervous, saying that we still had hope and the game was still going on. Then we put our hands on top of one another and shouted “Come on!” together. When I returned to the field, I calmed down and relaxed. I realized that it was my teammates and teamwork that helped me overcome my fear.
In the end, we won. What impressed me most was our stacked hands, the symbol of teamwork. It made me understand the power of unity and inspired me to keep improving.
