Growing up is not always easy. For me, I got lost in a speech competition, which made me say that I couldn’t help crying. My friends saw my difficulty and tried to help me.

First, he helped me to find out the problems. I realized that I wasn’t trained enough, so I lost confidence. Then, I made a plan to study English. I read many books and took part in many speech contests to improve my conversation skills. I practiced English with my classmates at school and asked the teacher for advice. With my friends’ help, I also changed my mindset and became more confident. In the end, I won the competition and I’m proud of it.

No pains, no gains. Growing up is not always easy. We must be brave to try our best and become better and better.
