Good morning, everyone. It's a great honor to speak here about the heated topic of spring and autumn breaks. Some people are in favor of them, because students can not only relieve stress and get close to nature, but also improve parent‑child relationships.
However, others hold the opposite view. They think such breaks may lead to excessive screen time. Students who spend too much time on electronic devices may have their studies affected. Besides, many parents do not have enough time to take care of their children.
Here, I'd like to put forward three suggestions. First, students should limit their screen time by making proper plans, and parents can remind them to stick to the rules. Second, students need to strike a balance between rest and study. For example, they can arrange three days for study and two days for relaxation. Last but not least, if parents are too busy to look after their kids, students can take part in volunteer activities or study in libraries. In this way, they can not only spend meaningful holidays, but also gain more knowledge.
In short, spring and autumn breaks offer us a chance to appreciate the beauty of nature. Nevertheless, we should weigh up the advantages and disadvantages so that we can make the most of the holidays
