C15T1 The chart below shows the results of a survey about people's coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words.
The bar chart displays information about citizen’s purchasing and drinking preferences on coffee and tea in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Hobart in Australia over a four-week period.
It is clear that except citizens who lived in Adelaide, most people enjoyed going to a café for having coffee or tea, whereas the instant coffee and the fresh coffee were the second and the third options for citizens to choose in other four cities in last four weeks.
According to the bar chart, the portion of citizens who went to the café in Melbourne, Hobart and Sydney exceeded 60%, followed by the figure for Brisbane and Adelaide at around 55% and 49%, respectively. It is noticeable that in Adelaide, the popularity of purchasing the instant coffee is a bit higher than that of having coffee in café, with the figure for the instant coffee stood at 50%. However, in other four cities, the instant coffee was the second option for citizens with the portion of people who bought it was located within the range of 45%-55%.
Moving to the popularity of buying the fresh coffee, it was the least popular option for people to pick in five cities. However, the percentage of people who drink instant coffee remained above 40% in Sydney and Melbourne, whereas figures for Brisbane and Adelaide were lower than 35%.
