The issue of whether to put different age students in a class has sparked a heated debate. Given that diverse stages students have diverse challenges and problems, it is advisable to separate them. While teenage students have predicaments of getting along with peers, students under ten are more likely to encounter gender-curiosity. Pedagogical strategies with systematical scheduling are essential to each stage of children. Teachers concentrate more on each student since problems are separated and gathered both.
For instance, I was classified to a mixed-age class as a child. However, I felt isolated for the reason that making friends is hard to me. With teacher's specific instruction, I gradually understood to respect and to be benevolent to others are the most significant factors to get along with classmates.
Although Claire mentions the value of mixed-class, which I partially agree, she overlooks the fact that not only do we see elder students bully younger ones, they also bring pressure to them in all aspects, making the situation complicated to tackle.
