Both the reading and the listening passage delve into the origin of Etruscans. Significantly, the listening material contradicts the reading by presenting three counterarguments. First, the reading paragraph asserts that Herodotus, a historian living in the same period of time with Etruscans, explained the ancient kingdom, which encountered severe drought had moved to a new region and call the new kingdom Etruscan. However, the listening harshly challenges this statement by mentioning its reliability. Since one of Herodotus’ book elaborates a kind of insect that can eat human beings. His descriptions are more of a fictional stories than genuine facts. As a result, his credibility is questionable. Moreover, Etruscans’ language is affiliated to a group, called Tyrrhenian. Related language use on inscription types have been found near the area of Turkey. Thus, evidence allows people to extrapolate that Etruscans lived in the same paces. According to listening, this perspective might be on the opposite for the reason that there were sea fare among them, paving the road transferring the inscription from Italy to Turkey. Finally, cows have been found both from Etruscan and Italy today. Highly-related genes prove that Etruscans originally came from Turkey. The listening refutes this, explaining that the evidence is not concrete enough. There is possibility that cows were imported from Turkey to Italy. After all, Etruscans are famous traders.控制全文總字數在200以內的情況下進行批改,請老師們勿無限放大字數(考場上做不到),平衡字數與內容必要性,別拉低參考價值了
