The issue of whether technology has made people's lives easier or more difficult has sparked a heated debate. Given that the cutting-edge technology has revolutionized our daily life, it is conspicuous that digital technology optimizes our world.
The state-of-the-art devices and software allow people to address various predicaments in easy and efficient ways. For instance, students living in mountainous areas share the same opportunities as those living in metropolitans because they can access distance education through online courses. This largely reduces the disparity among students, leading to a more equal educational opportunities. Moreover, remote diagnoses are possible for patients inhabiting in rural areas due to online medical services. Low-income families are not afraid of lacking medical resources anymore because the digital tools reduce financial burdens. Additionally, the quality of living conditions are ensured, and life expectancy is prolonged.
Although I partially agree with Claire's assertion that people can be addicted to games, which can largely disrupt daily routines, she overlooks the fact that this can be tackled effectively by setting time-limit rules from parents and teachers. Overall, I would like to reiterate my standpoint that we should leverage the positive aspect of technology and channel our efforts into conquering its challenges.
