In my opinion, experiences in our lives have much more influence on our personality and development, but talent is also important. As the saying goes “practice makes perfect”. Just talent is far from enough,we must practice again and again before we can reach the standard of perfect.For instance, athletes need to practice for years before they can attend races.A student in our class joined the school rolerskating team. He had talent ,but it still took him all his rest time to practice before he could join any sorts of races. Another story is about the famous artist Da Vinci. As we all know, his teacher made him draw eggs over and over again. By doing so, Da Vinci’s drawing tecnecs gradually, and finally became a great artist who was widely known by everyone.These examples tells us that experience is more important than the characteristics we are born with.However,the characteristics we are born with are also important. Without talent it will be really hard for us to succeed.This is why we need to give up when necessary and put our talent to good use. Once I learned ice skating, I practiced for a long time but still couldn’t get the main point of the gestures I learned.But,another student in my class could preform perfectly without a lot of practice as if she was born to skate.As you can see, talent is important, too.All in all, I think experiences in our lives have more influence on our personality and development.Mean while,we shouldn’t ignore the importance ofthe characteristics we are born with.
